Dear Students,

Piri Reis University is our country’s first and only maritime-themed university and has positioned itself as a leader in this field. The Faculty of Engineering is our University’s most important academic unit that leads research and development activities. The Faculty of Engineering provides education in five basic engineering fields. These are Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Computer Engineering. These departments provide studies not only in marine technology but also in all areas covered by the related engineering discipline. In this context, our mission is to create a modern engineering education infrastructure for our students and to provide them with lifelong learning and self-improvement skills.

Our students have the opportunity to get to know the sector and gain information about current engineering competencies before graduation, both in summer internships and in long-term internships (Co-op) throughout the semester. Master’s and doctoral programs, in which Faculty of Engineering faculty members participate, support postgraduate education, and bring engineering-based academic studies to the international level. As the Faculty of Engineering, our vision is to train good engineers for a sustainable future by constantly improving ourselves and incorporating new technologies into our education programs.
