Prof. Dr. Mübariz Hasanlı

Head of the Industrial Engineering Department

Hello, Dear Friends,

Today, technological and industrial development has naturally increased dependence on fundamental resources such as energy and raw materials. As these resources become increasingly scarce, utilizing them in the most efficient way has become crucial. Under these conditions, where work and employment conditions continuously evolve and change, industrial engineers stand out in managing limited resources, proposing alternative production policies, and ensuring interdisciplinary coordination in projects.

Industrial Engineering is a branch of engineering focused on analyzing, planning, organizing, executing, controlling, and improving systems in both the industrial and service sectors, which consist of elements such as people, machines, and materials. It achieves this by developing systems, models, and methods aimed at preventing and solving problems.

For this reason, the Piri Reis University Industrial Engineering Undergraduate Program has been designed to equip students with the skills they need for the design, planning, and analysis of production and service organizations to achieve efficiency and productivity goals. Related fields include operations research, production planning and control, quality control, quality management, ergonomics, inventory management, cost management, facility design and planning, and system analysis.

As the Industrial Engineering Department of the Faculty of Engineering at Piri Reis University, our goal is to train qualified professionals who can use our rapidly depleting resources more efficiently in an ever-changing world. While doing this, we aim to teach our students all the up-to-date techniques and methods they need, ensuring their development not only in technical aspects but also in social and cultural aspects.

Stay well.
