DOUBLE MAJOR AND MINOR APPLICATION DATES:

DOUBLE MAJOR APPLICATION AND ACCEPTANCE CONDITIONS;
Double major applications are made to the Registrar’s Office with the application form and transcript on the dates announced in the academic calendar.
The student can apply for DMP at the beginning of the 3rd semester of the major undergraduate program at the earliest and at the beginning of the 5th semester at the latest.
In order to apply for DMP, the student must have successfully completed all the courses taken in the major undergraduate program he/she has attended until the semester he/she applies, his/her general grade point average (GPA) must be at least 3.00, and he/she must be in the top 20% in terms of success ranking in the relevant class of the major program.
If the number of applications exceeds the quota determined by the faculty, priority is given to those with a higher GPA. When the GPA’s are equal, the student’s percentage in the success ranking of the major program is taken into consideration.
Student applications that meet the necessary conditions are sent to the relevant faculty or faculties by the Registrar’s Office.
It is not possible to enroll in more than one double major program or both a double major and minor program at the same time.
DOUBLE MAJOR PROGRAM TUITION FEE;
Students whose applications are accepted also pay the fee calculated per credit for the courses they will take in the double major program, apart from the tuition fee of the department in which they are registered.
Students who benefit from scholarships or discounts in their major program also benefit from these rights in the program in which they are majoring. The scholarship period is two semesters after major graduation.
MINOR BRANCH APPLICATION AND ACCEPTANCE CONDITIONS;
The student can apply for the minor program at the beginning of the 3rd semester at the earliest and at the beginning of the 6th semester at the latest of the undergraduate program in which he/she is registered.
Applications for the minor program are made to the Registrar’s Office on the announced dates, with the application form and transcript.
In order to apply for a minor program, the student must have successfully completed all courses in the undergraduate program he/she is enrolled in until the semester he/she applies and his/her GPA at the time of application must be at least 2.50.
If the number of applications exceeds the quota determined by the faculty, priority is given to those with a higher GPA. When the overall grade point average is equal, the student’s percentage in the success ranking of the major program is taken into consideration.
It is not possible to enroll in more than one minor program or both a minor and double major program at the same time.
MINOR BRANCH PROGRAM TUITION FEE;
Students whose applications are accepted pay the fee per credit calculated for that year for each course they will take in the minor branch, apart from the tuition fee of the department in which they are registered.
Students who benefit from scholarships or discounts in their major program also benefit from these rights in their minor program. The scholarship period is one semester after graduation from the major.
