Registrations will be conducted in person at the Piri Reis University Marine Campus Student Affairs Office.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR REGISTRATION
INTRA-INSTITUTIONAL LATERAL TRANSFER FINAL REGISTRATION
Students who applied for intra-institutional lateral transfer must visit the Student Affairs Office to complete the disassociation process from their current program and finalize their registration in the newly accepted program.
Inter-Institutional Lateral Transfer Final Registration Documents:
- Copy of National ID Card
- 2 Passport-sized Photos
- OSYS/YKS/DGS Exam Result Document and Placement Document (for those applying to a different department than their current one, LYS exam results are required)
- Student Certificate (must be up-to-date and approved)
- Transcript (2 up-to-date and approved copies) (Except for those coming from the preparatory class)
- Course Descriptions (Except for those coming from the preparatory class)
- Document stating that the student has not received any disciplinary penalty (signed and stamped)
- Document stating that the student has not transferred under Additional Article-1
- Document stating that there is no obstacle to the lateral transfer (This is an important document that must be submitted at registration)
- Students applying to programs with a compulsory preparatory class must take the English Proficiency Exam after completing their lateral transfer registration.
***“Seafarer Fit” Health Report
***A “Seafarer Fit” health report must be obtained from public or private health institutions authorized under the Maritime Health Regulation.
This applies to students in the Faculty of Maritime Studies (Maritime Transportation and Management Engineering, Marine Engineering), the Maritime Vocational School (Maritime Transportation and Management, Marine Engineering, Mechatronics, Port and Terminal Operations, Marina and Yacht Management).
After obtaining the hospital report, it must be approved by the General Directorate of Border and Coastal Health. A photocopy of the issued Seafarers’ Health Examination Certificate must be submitted to the Student Affairs Office during registration.
“Professional Diver Fit” Health Report
Students enrolling in the Underwater Technology Program at the Maritime Vocational School must submit a photocopy of a Professional Diver Fit health report during registration.
English Proficiency Exam
Students transferring between faculties and departments within Piri Reis University are not required to meet the English proficiency requirement if they have successfully passed the preparatory class with a score of 60 or above.
Students transferring from other institutions will be assessed based on the English Preparatory Class Education and Examination Regulations.
National and international language proficiency certificates that meet exemption conditions will be evaluated by the Preparatory School Directorate.
Lateral Transfer Scholarship / Discount Conditions
Lateral transfer scholarships/discounts are only valid for annual registration renewals and do not apply during extended study periods or per-credit tuition fees.
The scholarship duration is determined based on the academic year in which the student is placed after the transfer.
The number of semesters completed before the lateral transfer (excluding the preparatory year) will be deducted from the total scholarship duration.
The scholarship/discount rates are subject to annual review.

Documents Required for Students Admitted to Undergraduate/Associate Degree Programs from Abroad via Inter-Institutional Lateral Transfer
(Applications for the Spring Semester are only accepted for the Maritime Vocational School.)
Passport pages showing the academic periods studied abroad (certified copies)
Copy of National ID Card
2 Passport-sized Photos
OSYS/YKS or LYS Exam Results Document or an equivalent recognized document
Certified Turkish translation of the Student Certificate (must be up-to-date and approved)
Certified Turkish translation of the Transcript (2 copies)
Certified Turkish translation of the Course Descriptions
Certified Turkish translation of the Document Stating No Disciplinary Penalty
Recently issued Equivalency Certificate from YÖK (Council of Higher Education)
Document stating that there is no disciplinary penalty (signed and stamped)
Document stating that there is no obstacle to lateral transfer
Border Entry-Exit Record (must be obtained from the General Directorate of Security)
