DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR REGISTRATION
INTERNAL TRANSFER FINAL REGISTRATION
Our students who apply for Intra-Institutional Horizontal Transfer must come to the Registrar’s Office, complete the termination process from their current program and enroll in the new accepted program.
Interinstitutional Horizontal Transfer Final Registration Documents;
- Photocopy of Identity Card
- 2 Photos
- ÖSYS/YKS/DGS Result Document and Placement Document according to the type of exam taken to enter the university in which the student is registered (LYS result document for those who will apply to a different department than the one they are currently registered in)
- Student Certificate (Must be current and certified)
- Transcripts (2 updated and approved) (Except those from the preparatory class)
- Course contents (except those from the preparatory class)
- Document proving that he/she has not received any disciplinary punishment during his/her education (Signed and Sealed)
- Document proving that there is no horizontal transfer within the scope of Additional Article-1
- Document stating that there is no obstacle to horizontal transfer (This is an important document and must be submitted during registration)
- Students who apply to departments with Compulsory Preparation requirements must take the English Proficiency Exam after completing the Horizontal Transfer registration process.
***MEDICAL REPORT WITH THE STATEMENT “BECOMES A SEAMAN”
***Report received from public and private health institutions authorized in accordance with the provisions of the seafarers health directive, bearing the phrase ‘BE A SEAMAN’, Maritime Faculty (Maritime Transportation Management Engineering and Marine Machinery Management Engineering students), Maritime Vocational School (Maritime Transportation It will be prepared by Business Administration, Ship Machinery Management, Mechatronics, Marine and Port Management, Marina and Yacht Management)students. After the hospital report is completed, it will be approved by the GENERAL DIRECTORATE OF BORDER AND COASTS HEALTH, and a photocopy of the Seafarers’ Health Examination Certificate will be delivered to the Registrar’s Office during registration.
****For our students who will enroll in the Maritime Vocational School Underwater Technologies Program, a photocopy of the health report document bearing the phrase “BECOMES A PROFESSIONAL UNDERWATER MAN” will be delivered to the Registrar’s Office during registration.
English Proficiency Exam
In horizontal transfers between Piri Reis University’s faculties and departments, English proficiency is not required for students who successfully pass the preparatory class with 60 points.
Students coming from outside Piri Reis University are processed within the framework of the English Preparatory Class Education Exam Regulations.
Nationally and internationally valid documents with foreign language exemption requirements are evaluated by the Preparatory School Directorate.
In addition, the conditions for benefiting from our University’s horizontal transfer scholarships / discounts will apply in the following cases.
- Transfer scholarships / discounts are only valid for annual registration renewals; Scholarships / discounts are not valid during the extension period and per credit fees.
- For horizontal transfer scholarships/discounts, the student’s duration of study is calculated according to the class to which the student is assigned.
- The semesters you studied before transferring, excluding preparation, will be deducted from the total scholarship period.
- The scholarship / discount rates to be given can be evaluated every year. You can contact the Financial Affairs Directorate regarding fees.
Documents to be Required from International Students Who Have the Right to Enroll in Undergraduate/Associate Degree Programs from Abroad through Inter-Institutional Transfer (According to the legislation, applications can only be received for the Maritime Vocational School in the Spring semester.)
