Dear Students,

Piri Reis University is the first and only maritime-themed university in our country, positioning itself as a leader in this field. The Faculty of Engineering is one of the most important academic units directing the university’s research and development efforts. The Faculty of Engineering offers education in five main engineering fields: Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Computer Engineering. These departments not only focus on maritime technology but also cover all fields within the discipline of engineering. In this context, our mission is to provide students with a solid foundation in modern engineering education and to instill lifelong learning and self-improvement skills.

Through summer internships and long-term (Co-op) internships throughout the academic year, our students have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the industry and gain insights into current engineering competencies before graduating. The graduate programs, including master’s and doctoral studies conducted by faculty members of the Faculty of Engineering, support postgraduate education and elevate engineering-based academic work to an international level.

As the Faculty of Engineering, our vision is to continuously improve ourselves, incorporate new technologies into our curriculum, and train competent engineers for a sustainable future.
